2011 COMPANY ONE AWARD WINNERS:

KIRSTEN GREENIDGE (The David Wheeler Award):  Recently a Huntington Theatre Playwrighting Fellow, Kirsten’s recent work includes MILK LIKE SUGAR which will be produced by La Jolla Theatre Company this fall and then will go on to Playwrights Horizons in New York City, BOSSA NOVA, which was produced this season at Yale Repertory Theatre, and THE LUCK OF THE IRISH, which will premiere at the Huntington in spring 2012. A NEA/TCG playwright in residence at Woolly Mammoth in Washington DC, Kirsten’s work with Company One includes 103 WITHIN THE VEIL, A MORE PERFECT UNION, THE GIBSON GIRL, and “THANKSGIVING”, which was presented as part of GRIMM. Kirsten attended Wesleyan and The Playwright’s Workshop/University of Iowa and is a member of New Dramatists and Rhombus. She is currently working on commissions from Yale Repertory Theatre and Denver Center Theatre.

M. BEVIN O'GARA (The Lois Roach Award):  M. Bevin O’Gara is currently the Associate Producer at the Huntington Theatre Company, where she has worked since 2002.  Previously holding the positions of Artistic Associate, Assistant to the Artistic Director and Faye Stone Literary Intern.  From 2006 to 2008 she worked as the Artistic Associate at the New Repertory Theatre in Watertown, MA.  Other companies include Gaiety Theatre of Dublin and the Actor's Center of Australia.  Bevin has a BFA from Boston University in Theatre Studies.  Directing credits include, include: THE PAIN AND THE ITCH (Company One) IRNE Award nomination for Best Director and Best Ensemble, TWO WIVES IN INDIA, GARY (Boston Playwrights Theatre) Elliot Norton nomination for Best Production, 2.5 MINUTE RIDE (Downstage @ New Rep) IRNE Award nomination Best Solo Performance, OTHELLO, THE CRUCIBLE (New Rep On Tour), MELANCHOLY PLAY (Holland Productions), TATTOO GIRL, PAINTING YOU, ARTIFACTS (Williamstown Theatre Workshop) ANTI-KISS (3 Monkey’s Theatrical Productions) PLAY IT AGAIN SAM (Footlight Club) and LA CAGE AUX FOLLES (Longwood Players).
